Soccer Referee Information

Soccer Parents:

All current referees need to renew their registration by March 31st! Each year, every Referee in Alberta must renew their annual registration before April 1.

Mini referees:

• Go to and log in to your Ref Centre account.
Click where indicated to complete your registration. Note – there is no registration fee for ‘Mini’ referees.
• The registration is valid April 01-March 31 of the following year

District referees:
• Go to and log in to your Ref Centre account.
Click where indicated to complete your registration form and submit your registration fees, otherwise a late fee will apply.
This registration is valid for one outdoor season and the following indoor season
(April 1 – March 31 of the following year)

Any current Referees that renew their registration and will be refereeing in Vegreville, please send Shelley a copy of your receipt by email to

First year Mini Referees and Entry Level Referees have their 1st year’s registration fees covered.
If a Mini Referee plans on upgrading to a “Youth Referee”, do NOT renew your Mini Registration, just follow the instructions on AB Soccer Website, on the tab “Upgrade from Mini to Youth”. Here’s the link:
You need to be 14 to become a “Youth Referee”.

Anyone interested in becoming a Vegreville referee; you need to be 12 to become a “Mini Referee”, 14 to become a “Youth Referee” and 16 to become a “District Referee”. Please go to the AB Soccer Website and look under the Referee tab for available courses. Please send Shelley copies of your course receipts to IF you will be refereeing Soccer in Vegreville.
