2026 Outdoor Soccer Parent Information

NEW WEBSITE THIS SEASON – RAMP INTERACTIVE

Every parent that hasn’t used RAMP Interactive will need to create an account to register their children. Your login information will be the same for the RAMP Team App (mobile) that all coaches will be using this season. (Register your children all under one RAMP Parent Account & then add family members to register). Anyone interested in being a Coach, Ass’t Coach, Team Manager or a Bench Parent needs to also register under the “Staff Registrations”. Parents will be notified once coaches are selected.

Early Registration: March 1st – March 8th & - 10% Discount if registered by March 8th.
Regular Registration: March 9th – March 31st
Families with 3 or more kids -10% discount (March 1st-March 31st) After March 8th, text Shelley at 587-280-0771 BEFORE you register to get your Family Promo Code for your 10% discount.

$25 Late Fee will be applied AFTER March 31st.

KidSport & Jumpstart are organizations that allow eligible parents to access funding for their children’s sports. Click on one of the links below, fill out your subsidy application, submit it and send your confirmation email to the registrar at registrarvmsa@gmail.com. It is the Parent’s responsibility to let the registrar know when they receive notification about whether their funding is approved or not.

Parents/Players Information: All Parent/Player forms will now be on the RAMP registration form which you will be filling out for each child you register.

Season & Team Information: The Outdoor Season typically starts the first week of May depending on weather and field conditions and ends approximately the 3rd week in June.

The goal for VMSA is to have gender-specific teams for U11 and above age groups. Please check one of the following, as it does help us assess your child and divide the teams as fairly and equal as possible:

1. child has never played (1st year),
2. Intermediate (2nd year), or
3. Veteran (3+ years).

U5 & U7 Registrations include a Tim Horton Jersey, ball, black shorts, socks & a medal. U7, U9 & U11 include the Vermilion Tournament. Sat., May 23rd(U7 & U9), Sun., May 24th(U11). U11-U19 include the Camrose Night Classic (June 4 – 7th). U13+ include League play & Lakeland Cup. St. Paul is having a Mini & Youth Tournament on May 30th & 31st (more details to follow) – this tournament is not included in your registration fees.

U5s practice twice a week for 1 hour, and do not have structured games. U7s, U9s & U11s practice once a week for an hour and play 1 game a week locally against the other teams in their age groups. U13+ Teams participate in Lakeland League traveling to St. Paul, Vermilion, Bonnyville & Lac la Biche. Lakeland Cup, which will be held at one of the Lakeland Communities. Lakeland Cups are as follows: U15-U19 June 12th-14th hosted by Vegreville Soccer, U13s will be June 19th-21st hosted by Vermilion Soccer.

ALL Players are to wear black soccer shorts and shin pads covered by black soccer socks. We would like to present a “uniformed look” for Vegreville Soccer Teams. U5s & U7s will have black shorts & socks included with their Tim H packages. For U9+ players, VMSA will have some for sale in the clubhouse. Shorts will be $15 and socks will be $10. Once teams are created, players will be contacted by their Coach or manager.

Coaching Requirements: Coaching Staff require a clear Criminal Record’s Check. The RCMP provide this service free of charge to our “selected” coaches, who present the VMSA volunteer letter we provide them. Coaching Courses that are required for each age group are on our website under “Coaches/Ref” (Coaching Education Minimum Standards). Coaching staff are reimbursed for taking coaching courses once they have emailed Shelley their “completion emails” and “credit card receipts”.

Referees: People 12 and older on or before May 15th are eligible to take the “Mini Referee Course” (to referee U9 & younger only). People 14 and older are eligible to take the “Entry Level Course” (to referee U11, U13 & older or as an assistant referee at any age level.) Please check the box on the registration form if anyone in your family is interested in becoming a “Vegreville Referee”.

Fees: Vegreville Soccer reimburses coaches & referees for all courses they take and pass. We do our best to keep registration fees reasonable to allow all families to participate in our soccer programs.

A $25 Admin Fee will be withheld for ALL Withdrawals and Cancellations and NO REFUNDS will be issued after the first practice. FULL REFUNDS will be provided if there is no Team for your child. Player injury refund requests will be reviewed by VMSA on a “case by case” basis. A $25 Late Fee will be applied to registrations AFTER March 31st. Jerseys are provided to U9-U19 Teams and MUST be returned at the end of the Season to your Coach. If a Jersey is not returned for any reason, the parent will be charged a $100 fee to be sent by e-transfer to registrarvmsa@gmail.com by June 30, 2026.

Fundraising: Families are required to sell or buy 1 book of raffle tickets. A $100 PER FAMILY fundraising fee will be added to your total. Families are able to “recoup” their $100 fee by selling their 5 raffle tickets, which are $20 each. As the $100 fee is added to your total, please keep the cash from selling the tickets and turn in the ticket stubs by June 1st. Parents that choose to sell their Raffle tickets will need to contact the Registrar (Shelley) at 587-280-0771 or registrarvmsa@gmail.com to arrange pick up. The draw date is: June 23rd, 2026, at the Full Throttle Soccer Park. There’s an option on the registration form to “buy” your raffle tickets, pick them up to sell them, or have the registrar fill them out in your name and text you a photo.

Volunteering: A successful program depends on the skills and talents of volunteers. Each family must choose at least one area of interest on your child’s registration form. VMSA offers many volunteer opportunities for families to fulfill their volunteer requirements.

All Players MUST be registered in the correct age group based on their DOB.(chart below) (Kids registered in the wrong age group will be moved to the correct one). Any requests to “play up” need to be sent to registrarvmsa@gmail.com with your reason for the request. Decisions on moving a player up will be made by the Executive and parents will be notified.

Additional Information: Our AGM this year will be on March 11th, 2026 at the Vegreville Legion Hall at 7:00pm. Parents that attend the AGM will be eligible to enter our draw for a free registration. We will be having 2 draws this year for a free registration (one entry per family). In addition, we will be having 5 draws for “ADULT VEGREVILLE THUNDER HOODIES” (one entry per family). Hope to see many of you there!

Our 2026 Raffle Draw & our Yearly Wind-up BBQ will be at the Full Throttle Soccer Park on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2026. The Hot Dog BBQ will start at 6:00pm.
